I am an advocate of darwinian theory of evolution. This is what he says about natural selection.Natural selection is the process by which favorable traits that are heritable become more common in successive generations of a population of reproducing organisms, and unfavorable traits that are heritable become less common.Hence we can see that more poor people, having a lot of unfavorable traits( developed by poor hygiene and health conditions) will die before they get a chance to reproduce.
The other day, Kaushik Ram and I were discussing the possible effects of this.
1. Before analysing the effects of this, we look into a possible cause of poverty. Why do people become poor? Lethargy, vices, indifference. What if a poor person's parents are poor? How would it affect his performance in the society? Aren't there enough opportunities in the society to aid their upbringing?
Case in point, Yours Truly. I had a healthy childhood. However, when I was in 8th std my dad invested heavily in real estates and we lost everything. I was poor. However, I managed to study hard and be what I am now. The society is not always for the rich and affluent. I availed many concessions that I got. Now I have debts to repay. But soon I will get my degree and all my problems will be solved.
So what's the difference between my situation and that of a rickshaw walla's son? I wasn't born poor , but he was. My father was a brilliant man. He had a very sharp brain. He was a cunning, shrewd business man. His father is a rickshaw walla. He has the capacities of his father. If I had half the capacity of mine, I would be a very successful man. Hence comes my argument.. BEING POOR IS GENETIC.
2. Now let's look into the effects of this natural selection. If the poor slowly stop reproducing, then according to my argument, they would vanish. So where does it leave us? Will the poverty line shift up? Will the techies form the new "Poor"? We can never make as much money as the entrepreneurs.
I believe that the advances in technologies will automate all the low level jobs done by the people belonging to the current poor society. Hence we may no longer need them. If they go unemployed, they can no longer sustain themselves because of their poor traits. They would vanish!
3. Now let me introduce an economic concept."The vicious cycle of poverty". It says, "poor people will continue to be poor until there's external intervention". Well, this is a cowardly statement. Poor people will be poor despite any external efforts. They don't put it this way because they don't want to hamper the human spirit.
I invite any criticism of my views and discussion in this regard.

hey i disagree.. being poor has nothing to do with genetics.. and who rickshawalas arent smart!? we have seen many people lead nations coming from a modest background!
And who are those people?? Criminals, dude!! They defy the laws of the land. My argument assumes a non corrupt system.
